As a Mum of a 4 year old and an 18 month old I could ideally use an extra set of hands. Failing that, I have found a ToddleTug to be the nearest best thing when it comes to outings. Before getting our ToddleTug my eldest had a terrible habit of holding onto, and pulling back, my pushchair as I tried to push it. Affecting the steering and making my pushchair feel much heavier. When she wasn’t doing this, she would be holding my hand and I would be left to push one handed. This wasn’t such an issue until her little sister started to walk for short distances also, then I faced a real problem as they BOTH wished to hold my hands and manoeuvring the pushchair with my teeth really wasn’t a viable option.
Since we have been using the ToddleTug this is no longer a problem for me. My 4 year old finds that it gives her a little more freedom, we are less likely to stand on one anothers toes, and she can see her little sister and talk to her whilst we are walking. I find the toddle tug most valuable when both of them choose to walk and I am contemplating a second for these occasions. At only a few pound each, I really think that these are an amazing buy. Ours has so far saved me a lot of headaches (and backache for that matter).

The ToddleTug is easily attached to the pushchair, and on my model which has a long unbroken handle it slides up and down easily without the need to remove it making it easy to position it where required depending on which of my daughters is using it.
A fab product. I would 100% recommend buying one.

“Oh no! I dropped dolly! ….it’s ok I have a teddy tug!!”

When I first received the teddy tug what struck me was the quality feel of the fabric and the finish. Purple just happens to be my favourite colour so I was very happy to receive it in purple, and I love that the Velcro matches!!
I have found this very useful to have, not only for protecting my daughters precious toys from taking a tumble into the recent slushy snow we’ve been having. But also to attach to my changing bag to stop my overflowing bag from loosing cups or bottles. The only slight alteration I would make would be that as I don’t have a bumper bar on my pushchair it just seems slightly too short when attached to the frame. I have attached it to the straps before but find it gets in the way with buckling up. But overall this is a fantastic idea and love the stretchy soft bright fabric. I think bright colourful fabrics are the way forward to co-ordinate with our modern stylish pushchairs and changing bags we have today. Thank you for letting me take part.

Tears, tantrums and lost Teddies

Been there, done that and got the T-shirt as have many parents I’m pretty sure!

Emmy had a favourite cuddly when she was younger a Dumbo comforter from the Disney store, and I’m sure you can guess what happened can’t you? Of course, she lost it…we have no idea when or where but one minute it was there and the next it wasn’t, only we didn’t notice until we got home.

We searched the car, Nanny’s house and the places we could think of in between but it was lost and gone forever. She got over it eventually however we are adement that won’t happen again.

Harry doesn’t yet have a favourite but I’m sure he will when he is a little older and we are ready this time.

We have been sent a Teddy Tug by a company called Buggy Tug.

The Teddy Tug is a long strap which attaches to your pushchair or car seat and a favourite teddy can be attached to the other end, secured in place with velco. The idea is that your teddy should now be safe and can’t be dropped onto the ground and lost.

The strap is a purple long piece of strong stretchy neoprene which has a metal ring onto one end, you thread one end through the ring and pull securely to close tightly around the buggy frame, bumper bar, straps or could even be attached to large coat buttonholes is wanted. You secure your favourite teddy by velcroing tightly aroung his arm, leg or if your feeling mean neck (that seems cruel to me), however you secure him/her is up to you.

Phew, that was close

As you can see – we manage a whole walk without loosing Billy Bear, Harry hasn’t got the hang of holding without dropping yet so this did help.

I like the idea, it’s simple but it works although I do think it could be a little longer as it doesn’t leave enough cord to play with the teddy easily – Harry likes to gum on his teddy however he struggles to get it to his mouth as the strap is too short.

Priced at £3.99 you can’t really go wrong though and it works, we returned home with his teddy, clean and unharmed. Also available are the Toddle Tug and the Buggy Tug.

Toddling with the ToddleTug

I’m sure a lot of parents have faced the struggle of not having enough hands. Well when trying to convince Gracie to hold my hand to keep her safe whilst I try to push the buggy, I could really do with that third hand!!

So when the lovely people at BuggyTug said they were looking for people to test the ToddleTug I jumped at the chance.

Gracie is now a fully fledged independent toddler who thinks that she doesn’t need to hold mummy’s hand any more, so much prefers to hold on to the frame of the pushchair, well most of the time. The problem with this is that she ends up tripping over the wheels of the buggy or finding herself having to stretch to reach the frame to hold on.

That is where the ToddleTug comes into its own. It is a simple yet very effective product, a long red strap that has a metal ring one side and a handle the other. All you need to do is wrap it around the frame of your pushchair and slot the handle through the metal loop, easy peasy.

I wish it had been around when my other children were younger. It means that Gracie no longer trips over the wheels of the pushchair, she doesn’t have to outstretch herself to hold on because the ToddleTug remains at her level and because the material it is made from is stretchy, Gracie can feel like she is walking by herself without being away from me.

The only snag I found was that I like Gracie to walk on the side of me that is farthest away from the road, which meant swapping the ToddleTug to each side of the pushchair when needed but it so easy to do that it really is a minor problem. Priced at just £3.99 I would be happy to purchase two to have one either side of the pushchair.

TeddyTug is designed to prevent the heartbreak that occurs when teddy gets thrown out of the buggy and left behind. It is suitable for most toys and teddies.

This is a very clever idea to invent teddy strap. I really like this strap as we know if our children lost their favourite teddies, it would be a nightmare.

It is made from neoprene which is soft, stretchy and a smart looking material. It is very easy to fit onto our Maclaren stroller’s frame by following the simple instructions. It felt very secure once teddy was strapped in. Having velcro made it easy to adjust to fit the teddies/toys.

The length of the strap is just right. Caitlin is still able to reach her pink bear while she is laying down to sleep or rest. The strap only comes in purple colour. I like the colour as it is bold and suitable for either boys or girls.

Besides using this teddy strap to strap teddy, I think it is also useful to strap a beaker with handle.

I rate this product 4 stars out of 5 stars. The reason for not having full star is because it is adhesive velcro and could potentially be removed by the child. The strap’s RRP is £3.99 which I think is good value and affordable.

TugTrio is a pack of three buggy straps

BuggyTug is an award winning buggy wrist strap that attaches to any buggy or pram and round the wrist of the parent to make sure the two never become separated. Might sound crazy but it’s illegal in some countries not to have a pram strap as accidents are so common.

ToddleTug was invented as many mums were buying BuggyTug for their children to hold on to. Now they have their own strap! ToddleTug is a mini red BuggyTug and mums have said that it’s already helping encouraging bonding between siblings as the older child feels like they are taking the baby “out for a walk”!

TeddyTug, well that’s quite self explanatory. Show me a parent who hasn’t had the drama of a teddy being thrown out and left behind. It isn’t just for teddies tho and can be attached to a cup, a dummy or anything else your little precious wants to keep safe.

The Tug buggy straps are the only stretchy straps in the WORLD! That’s right, any other toy ties or toddler straps are all made with nylon which although very strong doesn’t have any give in. BuggyTug, TeddyTug and ToddleTug are made with neoprene and are really comfy!

They are also fully safety tested.

TugTrio has already been given a Bronze award by Bizzie Baby, and shortlisted in the Loved by Parents Awards for Best Travel Invention and also the Practical Parenting Awards for Best Innovation under £10.

I love it, it’s a simple yet fantastic idea and i am so pleased with the fact i didn’t need to purchase a pram that already has a safety strap on. I have a bugaboo pram and sadly my strap broke off from using it with my first child. The BuggyTug part of the TugTrio fits perfectly onto my pram and is perfect for taking my pram on the school run as there are plenty of hills here where i live and if you’re like me; always wearing heels, it can be a bit worrying if you happen to fall over whilst pushing a pram, in stilts! I have been known to stumble a handful of times I also like the fact that the product comes with another handle that you can attach to the side of the pram/buggy for your toddler to hold onto also. My son holds onto this without a problem. I have a newborn in the pram and a 2 year old who likes to walk everywhere so this is perfect for a growing family with young babies and children. Not only does it come with the BuggyTug and the ToddleTug but it also comes with a third tug called TeddyTug, this attaches to your child’s favourite cuddly toy so they’ll will never lose their favourite sleeping comforter! I absolutely love this product, i think every family needs a TugTrio in their lives All in all a MASSIVE THUMBS UP FROM ME AND MY FAMILY!!
